Safety Tips

• Always keep shrubs, plants, etc., trimmed away from windows, and doors so that they won't offer concealment to anyone that may try to enter. If they can easily be seen, it will lessen the likelihood of a burglary.
  
  
• When traveling, always make arrangement with the Postal Service to hold your mail or have a friend or neighbor pick it up daily. An overfilled mailbox that's not emptied for multiple days can signal burglars that you may be out of town.
  
  
• A common rip-off that usually targets the elderly is called the "pigeon drop". Usually someone will approach you with a purse or wallet containing a large sum of money and ask if you've dropped it. They will then offer to split the money with you if you'll go to an ATM or your bank and withdraw a certain sum of money as a "good faith" showing. If this happens to you, call law enforcement IMMEDIATELY!!
